Adityaa is set to master the underworld
Underworld themes are not new to Kannada actor Adityaa, considering that some of his biggest hits had him play a gangster ' be it Deadly Soma or Edegaarike. And now we hear that some of his upcoming films explore the genre even further. 'Audiences seem to like me in the genre and have made me the brand ambassador of the underworld,' laughs the actor.
Earlier this week, Adityaa, who has just returned after a 20-day holiday-cum-location recce to Africa, had tweeted that he has signed up for a new film.

While the actor remains tightlipped about it and awaits an official announcement, he says that it will be a big film not just for him, but for the Kannada film industry as well. 'I have an interesting set of films lined up for the next few months, each about the underworld, but each very different in terms of story and characters. For starters, I begin work on PN Satya's Bangalore Underworld, an interesting script that steers clear of the normal formula followed for such films, yet portrays hardcore facts about that world. It will make people sit up and take note that such things actually happen. After this, I should be heading to the set of Guru Deshpande's Thackeray or this new film I have signed up for. Thackeray is a love story set against the backdrop of the underworld. The title is sure to make audiences wonder what the film is about, considering that there is only one image that comes to mind when you hear that name. You will figure out why the film is called Thackeray only when you see it,' says Adityaa, adding that he is also looking at doing two commercial love stories, including one with Mussanje Mahesh.
