Actress
Meghana Gaonkar recently found herself in a spot of bother. The 'Charminar' actor was returning to India after spending a couple of months in the U.S.A and encountered an issue with the airport authorities before boarding a plane to Bengaluru at the New Delhi International Airport. Meghana posted a tweet yesterday (04-December-2020) to express her annoyance with the Air India officials.
According to the actress, the airline officials were uncourteous in their approach - especially towards women - to test all the retuning passengers (from abroad) for the coronavirus and thereby, ended up causing a substantial delay for everyone.
In her tweet, Meghana pointed out the inconveniences Indians are made to encounter upon returning to their own country when entering a foreign place is significantly "smoother" and 'hassle-free'. Some of her followers too agreed with her and disapproved of the 'money-minting' strategies of many airlines.
As everyone would already be aware, the current scenario dictates all airlines to conduct tests diligently (especially for those returning from foreign places) and rule out any chances of the virus spreading while at the airports or during transit. However, in a series of tweets, Meghana elaborated on the arduous process of testing and how many of the airline companies use the current pandemic as an "opportunity" to make money. Neither the airline nor the New Delhi Airport authorities have responded to the actress yet.
On the work front, Meghana Gaonkar was last seen in the film 'Kalidasa Kannada Meshtru' opposite
Jaggesh. Before that, she was seen in
Simple Suni's 'Simpallag Innondh Love Story' back in 2016.
