Sandalwood senior actor and writer Goturi breathed his last yesterday evening at his home in Yelahanka. He has been in the film industry for many years and is often credited for working with actor Kashinath. Goturi played the role of the heroine in Upendra's 'Shh'.

Goturi is more popular as a writer than an actor. He is also the creator of ‘Raa Raa’ which is a famous song from ‘Apthamitra’ starring Vishnuvardhan and Soundarya.

Goturi had also worked as a writer for music directors like Gurukiran and V Manohar. The story of the movie Adi Chunchanagiri, directed by Om Sai Prakash was written by Goturi. The famous song used in all festival 'Jaya Janardhana Krishna' song was written by him.

His funeral will be held in Yelahanka.
