'Aana' teaser: Aditi Prabhudeva stars and shines in this unusual vigilante superhero film

The teaser of 'Aana', India's first female superhero story, was released earlier today. Starring Aditi Prabhudeva in the lead, the film has been written and directed by Manoj P Madalumane with Pooja Vasanth Kumar producing it under the U.K. Productions banner.

As suggested by the teaser, 'Aana' features an interesting blend of horror and fantasy elements and comes off as an unlikely superhero vehicle.While the superhero genre has generally been underexploited in India, owing to its large scale and budget requirements, it would be interesting to see how 'Aana' fares in that regard. The film's makers would also hope that the novelty factor (of creating India's first female superhero) will come into play at the time of the release.
The film's principal cast also includes actors Suneel Puranik, Chethan Gandharva, Ranvith Shivkumar, Prerana Kambam, Samarth Narasimharaju, and others. Uday Leela has handled the film's cinematography while Ritvik Muralidhar has composed the songs and scored the background music. 'Aana' has been edited by Vijeth Chandra.
