Aa Dinagalu Archana back in Sandalwood

It’s just been days since Puneeth Rajkumar’s upcoming untitled project with filmmaker Vajreshwari Kumar was announced, but the film has already been making news. First, it was revealed that Mollywood superstar Mohanlal would return to Sandalwood, after eight years, with this film. And now comes news that Archana, who was last seen in KM Chaitanya’s Aa Dinagalu, will be paired opposite Mohanlal.
According to Kumar, the plan was to rope in Radhika Apte for the project, but she could not spare dates.”Also, we could not afford Radhika, so we chose Archana for this project. She readily agreed to the film as she found her role very interesting."
Archana, who is currently busy with Telugu films, will be in Bangalore from May 3 for the shoot. “I took some time to get back to Kannada cinema. But the wait has been worth its while, because I will be working with big stars like Mohanlal and Puneeth. To top it, I have an interesting role in this film,” says the actress.
