A stylish new thriller

The makers of the popular 2013 Kannada horror film 6-5=2 have yet another thriller in the offing. Titled Karvva, the film has been directed by Navneet and stars Tilak Shekar and two heroines, Anisha Ambrose and Anu.
Speaking about the film and his role, Tilak says, 'The film is as unique as its name, which means 'rude love'. A lot of thought and effort has gone into conceptualizing Karvva's plotline, which is why it took two years to perfect the script.It belongs to the thriller/horror genre, in which I play a rich, spoilt brat who is put in a tough spot after losing a lot of money. How elements of horror come in the way of my character's efforts to repay his debts form the rest of the story.'
The film has been shot extensively in Bengaluru, Ooty and Sri Lanka. Tilak, for whom this is the first film in this genre, says, 'Shooting for a thriller is an experience in itself. There was a lot of excitement and action on the set that kept us on our toes most of the time. The makers were also very open to suggestions to improve the script. The production value of the film is high, and the team has not spared any effort in making the film look stylish and slick onscreen. You won't see many thrillers that are as stylish as Karvva.'Apart from Tilak, RJ Rohith and Vijay Chandu form the rest of the pivotal characters in Karvva.
