  • The film is about the need to uphold family values, which is necessary these days when ego conflicts damage relationships. Marali Mannige will make you nostalgic about classic films, as I am influenced by filmmakers like Puttanna Kanagal, Dorai Bhagavan, P Vadiraj and S Siddalingaiah.
  • These days, cruelty and violence are glorified, which is why there is a need for soothing triggers. Human beings are a bundle of different emotions and inclinations, which is why we need triggers of love, affection, respect, acceptance and compassion. All of this is present in this movie.
  • Usually, films based on novels are story and character oriented. There is no exaggeration or glorification of the hero or heroine. This film nourishes all the characters and gives justice to relationships. It is a realistic approach towards the society and family issues.
  • The performances are one to look out for in this film.

    Arundhati Jatkar

has done a wonderful job as an innocent, homely girl. Shruthi’s performance is very sensitive and heart-touching. Shankar Aryan has the most unique role. Usually, the entire film revolves around the hero, but Shankar’s character is a silent witness and he also narrates the entire story. He empathizes with everyone and shares the pain of others.
  • There is a symbolic gesture of bond between Marathas and Kannadigas in the movie, which is important as it comes at a time when the situation in

    North Karnataka

is tense over the boundary issue. There is a Marathi family in the film, who, while speaking among themselves, speak in Marathi, but when they speak to others, they speak in Kannada. There are also two abhangas (Marathi devotional songs) in the film — of dnyaneshwar and savta mali.
