controversy

for demanding money the movie

which had apparently gone on floors three years ago but was stopped due to financing problems.

Tube Light is about a group of friends who go to the mountains for a joyride. The film is directed by Venugopal BS and it has Gurunandan, Ajay Raaj, Aryan and Rajendra in lead roles.

Speaking to Bangalore Mirror about the issue, director Venugopal BS said "This is just an unwanted controversy which we are not really interested in. This movie went on floors three years before 1st Rank Raju when Gurunandan and I were in good terms. The problem started when faced some financial problems and were forced to stop work. Then movie was then taken up by another company and Gurunandan become busy with other projects. We needed one NOC from him about the takeover by another company. At first, he agreed to sign the NOC, but a few days later he demanded some money which our production was not ready to give."

"We had completed our shooting process in 36 days, and it was during post production that the producers changed. We called him before the release of 1st Rank Raju to come and sign the NOC and complete the dubbing but there was no response from him. We somehow completed the dubbing work by matching other voice to Gurunandan's portion and are ready to release the film next month. We don't need this type of publicity because we have made a good movie and we hope people will welcome our team with open arms," Venugopal added.

The movie was shot in Ladakh, Goa and Karnataka. The film's team claims that it is the first movie from Sandalwood to be shot in the Khardung La pass at 18,380 ft, the highest motorable road in the world.

The movie is produced by Popcorn Cinemas (current banner) and the music for the film is composed by Kiran Ravindranath (1st Rank Raju music director). The film also stars Anushree (VJ), director Guruprasad, V Manohar, Jai Jagdesh and Vijayalakshmi Singh in important roles.
