Yogesh Master essays 24 characters in Kannada movie Ondanondu Kaladalli Obba Raja Idda, a theatrical adaptation extracted from Ekavyakthi Pradarshanagalu. The work is based on Rabindranath Tagore’s Once There Was a King.Director Santhosh Kodenkeri, who produced and designed the, movie says, “It is the story of a grandmother narrating a story to her seven-year-old grandchild, Rubey, involving a king and queen. A small boy slips into an imaginary world while experiencing the story. He imagines himself as a king, a boy, and how the queen waits for the king to grow up as they were married at a tender age and ends up disappointed for not getting an opportunity to live with him. The entire movie features only one actor, Yogesh Master, who has enacted an array of characters brilliantly, a rare attempt in Sandalwood.”The movie, which was censored in October, was screened at international film festivals like Mokkho International Film Festival, International Motion Picture Festival of India, Dehradun International Film Festival and International Open Film Festival, winning several awards. Jeevan Gowda is the cinematographer and Yogesh Master has the penned lyrics, dialogues and composed music for the film. Ondanondu Kaladalli Obba Raja Idda will soon see a theatrical release.
