Charulatha makes a comeback with Kaligaala

Charulatha, who made her debut with Ramesh Aravind’s O Mallige, is back with a new film titled Kaligaala in which she is acting with Saiprakash. The actress, who has done nearly 50 films, quit films and lives in Delhi, where she runs a garment business. She is also planning to start an event management company in Kerala soon.
Kaligaala is reported to be Charulatha's 50th film and her second with Saiprakash.The actress says she accepted the film only because it would give her the opportunity to work with actor Saikumar, who happens to be her good friend. Charulatha also admits that she's been getting several offers to do films, particularly from the Kannada film industry, but most of them are for item songs. Though she hasn't signed up to do any item songs as yet, she is not averse to dancing in a film, as long as it is with an established hero.
