Bekkigondu Mooguthi Movie Review

Commando Vishnu (Tilak Shekar) is given a challenging task – to fight aliens that have landed on earth, in India, on a flying saucer. The only thing he is unprepared for, on this mission, is love – and that too for an alien.

The film sure has an interesting plot – one great alien scholar has written that the one thing that keeps the earth going is something called ‘love’. A group of aliens who have read this head to earth to discover and take away this secret formula or weapon that generates love. While Vishnu is out to handle the country’s crisis and fight aliens, he ends up falling in love with one alien. And surprisingly, the feelings are mutual too. If this was the synopsis for a Hollywood film, one would probably check it out – at least for the graphics. Unfortunately, the treatment of this story here is sloppy. It is a hurried concoction of an effort to make an unrealistic story seem realistic. Added to the cast, is a green devil – one that reminds you of the character in the old Onida TV commercial – who tries to create a bit more confusion in this situation between humans and aliens.

This is one of those unrealistic films that would have somehow managed to stay afloat with good graphics and visual effects. But sadly, there is nothing to take home. Watch this one at your own risk.
