Director Aiyyappa P Sharma has selected a contemporary subject of politician-gangster nexus. In this movie, our ‘Gundu Hudugi’ Malashri turns ‘Gun Girl’ and takes on a gangster who is involved in a fake note racket with links with a politico.

Armed with a good script, director Aiyyappa P Sharma has churned out a commercial movie packed with action. It’s a movie for Malashri fans where the ‘Action Queen’ has successfully taken the story forward with a good performance as Malini Iyer, a traditional Iyengar girl, and Veeralakshmi alias Veera as an action woman. While the first half offers you nothing as it builds the story, the second has some excellent action sequences, thanks to Palani Raj and Ravivarma.

The story revolves around police officer Veeralakshmi (Malashri) who takes revenge on gangster RD (Rahul Dev) involved in a fake note racket in Hong Kong. He has links with Karnataka home minister Chunchanagadde (CR Simha) who seeks Rs 1,000 crore for election expenses. While RD plans to send the amount, he faces a tough task as he has to take on a woman. She steals a diamond from him, blasts a car in which he wanted to transport drugs, kills his aide Alex and brother Joe. Veera takes revenge on RD for killing her brother Manju when they were young. In the process, she also exposes the minister’s links with RD and wins laurels from the chief minister (Ananth Velu). She has the support of police commissioner Garudachar (Ashish Vidyarthi) who takes care of her when she faces jail term for killing a friend of RD when she was young. Why did she kill him? Why did the police commissioner protect her? The rest is full of action with a neat narration.

Malashri has given a neat performance. Rahu Dev, Mukul Dev, Ashish Vidyarthi, CR Simha have done justice to their roles. Komal gives an excellent comic touch. Hamsalekha has contributed a couple of catchy tunes. Rajesh Kata shines with his cinematography.
