Usire Usire

Plot: Manu (Rajeev) and Shahira Banu (Srijitha Ghosh), childhood friends from different religions in a village, are separated when Shahira's father relocates in search of better opportunities.

Review: The bond between Manu and Shahira stems from their parents' close relationship, often providing support during family crises. Fifteen years later, they reunite at college, with Shahira staying at Manu's house for her studies. Manu falls for Shahira, but her feelings take time to develop, prompting Manu to employ various tactics until she reciprocates.

Just as things seem to settle, familial discord separates the two households over trivial matters, leading Shahira to leave the village. A perplexed Manu embarks on a quest to find her, adding twists to the narrative. The story's climax revolves around whether they can marry despite opposition from their communities.

Inspired by true events, Usire Usire depicts the love story of a couple from different faiths but falls short due to a shallow plot. The film's excessive length and conventional treatment fail to engage, making it a tedious watch. Additionally, the songs lack impact. Rajeev Hanu shines as the romantic lead, and his portrayal of a Sudeep fan adds depth. However, even Sudeep's cameo at the end fails to salvage the film.
