Neenu, formerly, Naanu, lives a selfless life, where he doesn't worry about anything. Lakshmi goes in search for him, to figure how he leads such a life. Is Neenu really leading a detached life or does he want to mislead Lakshmi for something else?

Upendra is backing doing what he does best, being behind the microphone. This time, he goes all out to preach his brand of pop philosophy, which has far evolved from the one he preached in the decade-old film Upendra. From Naanu (me), he has progressed to being Neenu (You).

The film is different from the word go. It begins with end credits and the mandatory 'shubham' sign. The story then begins with what seems the climax, and the story leads to this.

Upendra spews dialogues that can evoke a lot of applause, only this time around he emphasizes on the philosophy and doesn't have as many entertaining elements. The zing that one usually associates with an Upendra-film is missing, though, there are some interesting plot turns.

Parul Yadav's cameo is one of the highlights of the film. Upendra is at his vintage best when it comes to acting. Though Kristina Akheeva's casting is debatable, for apart from looking pretty, she doesn't seem to add much weight to the film. The lip sync is awry and her emoting too sometimes is same.

Gurukiran's music is alright, though there's no standalone track that you can take back. This film is meant for the Upendra fans, who love his brand of being different. A big thumbs up, though, must be given to the makers for releasing the film with subtitles in the multiplexes, something that every filmmaker should incorporate.
