Upadhyaksha

Plot: Upadhyaksha is a sequel to the superhit movie Adhyaksha. Set in the pristine village of Gejjepura, people of two different generations, Narayana and Shivarudre Gowda, are at loggerheads due to differences.

Review: Narayana(Chikkanna) and his accomplices of Chi Thu Sanga in Gejjepura have always had differences with Shivarudre Gowda( P Ravishankar), in whatever he tries to do for the village.

As vice president of Chu Thu Sangha, Chikkanna plans to take the villagers on a trip to Bangkok as he wants to hinder the construction of a convention hall by Shivarudre Gowda. Eventually, he gets into trouble as the money he collected for the villagers goes missing and it looks like none other than Shivarudre is behind the missing money.

Meanwhile, Narayana's father had once taken a loan, which Shivarudre uses to his advantage to ensure that Narayana gives up on the ego clash between them. Now, to clear the debt, Narayana has to agree to work in Shivarudre's home as a servant, in front of all the villagers. That's when he meets Shivarudre's daughter, Anjali (Malaika T Vasupal) and falls in love with her. Of course, her father doesn't agree to this, and both Narayana and Anjali go missing.

Chikkanna stands out in his performance as Narayana in his first film as a lead. He sticks to his strengths which are comedy, one-liners and humorous conversation, which he manages to deliver by making the audience laugh their heart out. Malaika T Vasupal in an innocent girl role strikes gold in her first outing. There are some double entenders and cringy sequences which could have been avoided. However, Chikkanna and P Ravishankar entertain with their hilarious conversations.
