Ramadurga and Rayadurga are neighbouring villages that have been involved in an age-old feud. When the chief of one village seeks revenge, the dispute turns into a blood bath. Can the chief of the other village save his village and his family?

A village-based story, featuring two chieftains filled with revenge and retribution, along with a little love story running along the sidelines, Shivarjuna follows all aspects of the conventional form of storytelling. Unfortunately, this attempt makes the film seem archaic rather than nostalgic. The story line has been tried and tested, way too many times over the years, for this one to manage to keep the viewer's attention.

The film is laced with nearly half-a-dozen fights and unnecessary subplots that try to bring in comic relief. Moreover, the comic scenes are lewd, unpalatable and extremely insensitive - showcasing comedians trying to win over the women they love through sexual assault is just unacceptable.

As for the actors, Chiranjeevi Sarja excels in the action scenes, while Amrutha Iyengar lights up the screen with her comic timing.
