Shadow

Plot: A common man (Vinod Prabhakar) files a complaint with Vijayanagar police station that his shadow has gone missing, which becomes the talks of the town

Review: The cops of Vijayanagar police get a peculiar case when a person, who claims to be a common man, lodges a complaint stating that he couldn't see his own shadow. While they decide to look into the case, which proves tough to crack, the cops are baffled when the complainant tells them about a 'divine revelation' he's had about particular road accident. So much so that they not only reopen the investigation into the accident, but also look at it as a possible murder.

There is a heavy dose of action in Shadow, which play to the gallery. Lead actor Vinod Prabhakar's chiseled body fits the bill perfectly for the movie.

In a nutshell, Shadow is a revenge drama, with a bit of love, family sentiment and suspense thrown in to keep up the tempo. For the most part, the maker delivers in keeping one engrossed, but it's just not edge-of-the-seat material. The story, which is the soul of the movie, lacks conviction and even the treatment meted out to the subject is pretty conventional. Vinod does his best in what is expected of him, while Sharath Lohitashwa pitches in ably as a cool cop.
