Relax Satya

Sathya and Das have cooked up the seemingly perfect crime. The two kidnap Maya, the daughter of a rich man, to demand an exorbitant ransom.

Das is fearless — he plans and executes the kidnapping with no remorse. Sathya is his meek, goofy second-hand who seems sympathetic to the woes of the victim. With Maya kidnapped and the call being made for the ransom, the plan appears to be working — but is all as it seems?

Prabhu Mundkur, Manjunath, and Manvitha Kamath fit the part of Sathya, Das and Maya and well. Kaddipudi Chandru, as the police inspector, adds an interesting element to the storyline. The music is also fitting for a suspense thriller. While the movie has all the ingredients that the genre demands, the long drawn out scenes and the stylised shots leave one underwhelmed instead of thrilled. And the plot does remind one of the 2009 English film, The Disappearance of Alice Creed.

A quick-paced narration might have worked better for the film. It would have enhanced the suspense factor and kept the audience on the edge of their seats.

Head to Relax Satya if crime thrillers are your cup of tea. Despite the length, this is a good attempt and is a relatively fresh story for the Kannada audiences.
