Rajalakshmi

Rajalakshmi seems like one of the many by-products of new filmmakers who have a Thithi hangover. Set in a village in Mandya, there are many oddball characters and quirky gags that are thrown in generously. And there's a flimsy thread that masquerades as the plot.

The film is unnecessarily loud and leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to the making. The scenes are poorly shot, with amateurish camerawork. The acting, too, doesn't leave much to write home about. Most of the actors are new and they seem to be trying very hard and that does not impress either.

If one wants to laugh at some rather tacky humour and fancies the Mandya nativity being used in a film, this might just be worth your time.
