Psychic is a crime thriller that combines mystery and psychological elements through two parallel storylines. One part of the film follows Vikas and Pranati, a young couple dealing with misunderstandings in their relationship. They travel with their boss Rohit Nagesh and his wife, Dr. Neha, to Agni Homestay near the Malanad region for Neha’s birthday celebration. During the journey, Vikas notices a ruined house and feels that something is wrong with the place, but Rohit dismisses it as another local ghost story.

The second storyline focuses on a serial killer who is on the loose. The film opens with a brutal murder and continues with a series of killings, including the murder of a convict on a road, a killing at an ATM, and the death of a couple. As the police investigate the case, the people on holiday unexpectedly come into contact with the killer. The film then follows how they deal with the situation, how the police try to catch the murderer, and what events from his past turned him into a psychopath.

The film moves at a steady pace and follows a familiar crime thriller formula without offering anything particularly new. It includes themes such as childhood trauma, police investigation, deception, mysterious locations, and people caught in dangerous situations. However, the screenplay loses momentum in several places, and some scenes fail to create enough tension. The humour involving the police feels unnecessary and affects the seriousness of the narrative.

Technically, the film is average, with decent cinematography and background score. The cast includes Sardar Sathya, Hamsa Prathap, Nikitha Dorthody, Kylas Dev, Reshma Lingarajappa, Rohith Nagesh, Rathasapthami Arvind, Sameer Nagarad, and Nishitha Gowda.

Overall, Psychic remains within the usual crime thriller format and depends largely on its serial killer plot, investigation angle, and psychological backstory.
