Review: After their young son dies from an illness, Bengaluru-based doctor Surya (Harish Raj) and his wife Lekha (Ahira Shetty) seek a fresh start by relocating to a remote village, hoping to find solace and forget their painful memories

Surya takes a long leave to support his wife Lekha who is struggling with depression. Encouraged by elders, they partake in ancient rituals aimed at finding peace and closure. Meanwhile, a girl called Viji, belonging to the house of a village head elopes with a boy and goes missing – this adds a twist to the tale in the second half.

Pretha, a horror suspense thriller that marks the return of Harish Raj as director has enough twists and turns especially in the second half However, it lacks the wow factor. A better background music and a crafty screenplay could have served the purpose and the story which is woven around limited characters doesn't hit the right chord. Newbie Ahira Shetty deserves appreciation for her performance. Harish Raj has done his best. If horror is your favourite genre, this will impress you.
