Parasanga

A villager, Thimma, wants to set up his own hotel at the insistence of his wife Champa. For this, he borrows money from a village head.

Thimma is loved by the villagers for his innocence, dance and for his abilities to perform a ritual to heal health problems of kids, which he imbibed from his father. City girl Champa gets married to Thimma after her parents die in a road accident. Everything is hunky dory, until a doctor, Manoj, enters their life. Will Champa betray Thimma for Manoj or do her loyalties lie with her husband?

Director Raghu's second attempt at a village story that is filled emotions after Tharle Village lacks strong content, thereby failing to strike a chord. The title of the movie created some buzz, as it was borrowed from the cult movie Parasangada Gendethimma, but it fails to live up to the expectations. Mithra amazes in his role as an innocent Thimma. Akshatha Srinivas has done justice for her role in her debut movie. Tharun Sudhir had done a vital cameo. Go and watch this movie only if you fancy conventional village tales.
