Nano Narayanappa

Movie review: Narayanappa(Krishnoji Rao), an aged person, loves his wife Ningi more than himself. He toils hard and buys a Nano car and he is very happy to drive it around with his wife.

A twist arises in the plot when his wife Ningi gets a brain related disease. Narayanappa had to arrange lakhs of rupees for the medical treatment. However, Narayanappa, who is a junior artist in the film industry, manages to source a huge amount of money in his old age, by bursting a racket. Although the movie looks like it belongs to the thriller genre, there are enough comic elements to make it seem otherwise.

Director Kumar has portrayed the love story of the old couple by blending it with a rice-pulling machine scam. He has cleverly etched Narayanappa’s character by keeping in mind Narayanappa’s reputation and character. The director has shown that one can win in life by remaining honest, no matter what the circumstances. Krishnoji Rao, who has made his debut as a lead actor, has managed to get good screen space and has used the opportunity judiciously in his last film. Despite shortcomings and unwanted scenes, this move is enjoyable
