Nithya Mandyam, TNN, Sep 21, 2018, 05.17 PM ISTCritic's Rating: 2.0Three best friends plan to loot a young man who relocates to Bengaluru. They find him a house to live at, and make it seem like it is haunted. Unknown to the friends, the house — Mane No 67 — is actually haunted.
A software engineer, who gets a job offer in Bengaluru, is searching for a home in the city, when a broker shows him a bungalow in Indiranagar, which is on offer for a nominal rent. Days after he moves in, he begins to experience paranormal things. While watching TV, he tunes into a show which is about ghosts, which only makes him believe more in ghosts.
The only other person who is in the home with the engineer is his house help. She also experiences some of the paranormal activities. It turns out that is the friends who have been playing pranks with the engineer, in a bid to loot him. But what they do not realise is that the house is actually haunted.
The scenes with paranormal activities seem more comical than scary. It would be more appropriate if it were called a comedy with a twist, instead of a horror film.
Mane No 67 is filled with raunchy scenes. The story line is different, but the director loses focus in the middle.
If you like watching horror films, but are actually scared to watch do so, then Mane No 67 is the film for you, since it is more funny than scary.
