Harshith is a youngster with ambitions of becoming a detective when he grows up. He's sharp and intelligent, but he has a big task at hand when he decides to take on the Blue Whale Challenge and find out what made his best friend give up his life because of it.

The Blue Whale Challenge had become quite the viral challenge, especially with many youngsters falling prey to it. The makers have used that and woven a tale that revolves around some pertinent issues that children deal with, which includes neglect, mobile addiction and parental pressure.

There is good intent when it comes to the making of Manasinata. The film discusses some topics that need to be highlighted, especially to parents. The film falters, though, a bit in its making, with it seeming a little amateurish at times. The story, too, takes a little too long to unfold.

There are few films that are tailor-made for children and touch upon pertinent topics. Manasinata is definitely one of them. While it has its share of shortcomings, the film does make a interesting watch with its interpretation of the ill-effects of viral dangerous games like Blue Whale.
