Kangaroo

Plot: An efficient cop Prithvi (Aditya) gets transferred to Chikkamagaluru's police station. In his jurisdiction, he comes across multiple missing cases of people who stay at Antony's Cottage. The movie revolves around the investigation surrounding these missing people.

Movie review: Prithvi has a tough task in his hands as soon as he takes charge of Chikkamgaluru station, and with time, he lives up to the expectations. Soon, Prithvi unearths over 100 missing cases who were staying at a guest house named Antony's Cottage. Prithvi witnesses a few more people who are dead, but since the culprit doesn’t leave any clues behind, it becomes a tough case to solve for him. On one side there are missing and dead people, and on the other side, there are also rumours of the presence of ghosts in the guest house. However, Prithvi who firmly believes that it is not the work of spirits but that of criminals, leaves no stone unturned to nab them, resulting in some thrilling scenes in the film. Meghana(Ranjani Raghavan) as a psychologist helps the cop to crack the case.

Overall, Kangaroo is a decent attempt by the director Kishore Megalamane who has neatly merged both thrilling and emotional elements. It does keep the audiences gripped by the story, but somewhere, it lacks that wow factor, making it an above-average film, but nothing extraordinary. Adithya and Ranjani Raghavan have delivered their best. Kangaroo can make for a decent weekend watch.
