Johnny is back in Rainbow Colony. This time, he has new friends and a new love interest. Priya, who he is in love with thanks to his fairy godmother, has her eyes set on a career and life in the United States. Will he be able to win her over?

Preetham Gubbi and Duniya Vijay joined hands for the first time for the quirky and fun Johnny Mera Naam. This time around, they are back with the second film in the franchise. Does it work? Hardly, as the gags and sequences seem like a series of jokes strung together, with hardly a strong story backing them.

The film has absurd jokes and characters that sometimes fail to elicit the required laughs. The film follows the life of how everyone's favourite Johnny finally fall in love, but has a tough battle ahead of him when he's trying to ensure he woos her enough to choose him as her partner and forget the dream that she has nourished and cherished all her life.

There were a lot of expectations from this film, given the hype around it. Sadly, the lack of a strong story and some predictable gags make it a lackluster watch. The songs, which were a big draw to the first installment of the franchise, aren't as memorable as the ones expected either. If you're a die-hard fan of Vijay or want to watch Rachita Ram in some glamorous costumes, then this could entice you.
