Small-town boy Kiran comes to the ‘big bad’ Bengaluru to try his luck at a job interview. In that day, he finds love, friendship and also is exposed to the underbelly of Bengaluru. Does he survive and return on the top?
Director Raviteja has chosen an interesting premise for this film. A protagonist reaches Bengaluru and he discovers different hues of the city, which is like a jaathre (carnival), through his encounters with different people in one day. What goes amiss is how the maker seems to have forced some of these situations making the narrative look very jagged.
The film seems to be a sum total of the many cameos rather than the narrative. From Shravanth to Rakshit Shetty to Akshay to Master Anand to even Puneeth Rajkumar, we see many familiar faces appear in scenes as the protagonist spends the day in ‘big bad’ Bengaluru.
From a political scam to underworld characters to tricksters to children addicted to chemical fluids, we see many tales. The film gives ample scope for hero Chetan Chandra to showcase his skills, be it comedy, action, dancing or just flaunting his many-packs body periodically (sometimes unnecessarily).
Had the filmmaker kept the narrative shorter and more crisp and paid half as much detail to the flow of the story than showcasing Chetan’s body, there might have been a better tale to watch.
