Plot: Girki revolves around two characters, Nandini and Purushottama, who are in love with each other. When they are about to get married, tragedy strikes as Nandini is abducted by a gang

The story of Girki unfurls with a rape incident. The main plot is about a simple girl Nandini (Divya Uruduga) who works as a salesgirl in a saree shop, and Purushottama (Vilok Raj), who works as a waiter in a bar. Purushottama, an orphan, is always chided by his friends for not being able to find a good match. He falls in love with Nandini at first sight. They both decide to take their relationship to the next level, and that's when there is a twist in the tale.

The story takes drastic turn in the second half, as the hunt begins to nab culprits. Purushottama and a police constable Vajramuni (Taranga Vishwa), who is also his relative, leave no stone unturned to trace Nandini, which becomes a tough case for the police department to solve.

Girki has a mix of romance and comic elements in the first half. In the second half, Nandini suddenly goes missing and that keeps the plot interesting. But the execution goes awry, and it lacks pace and content to keep one on the edge of their seats. The romantic portions looks outdated and though the film has a few interesting moments, it fails to make an impact.

Actors Vilok Raj and Divya Uruduga have justified their roles. The performance of comedian Taranga Vishwa shows that he can do serious roles.
