Plot: Madhu (Sathish), a straight-forward village guy, has little tolerance for illegal activities. However, his righteousness doesn't sit well with a few people.

Movie review: Hailing from a rich family, Madhu doesn't kneel before anyone in Virapura village. His only aim is the welfare of the people. If he sees anything that brings disrepute to the village, he solves the issue immediately. This makes him a popular figure in the village.

However, a certain group of people wants to curtail Madhu's influence. They hatch a plan to ensure Madhu contests the village panchayat election. His opponent is Nagesh, who is conferred a useless status in the village, and the rest of the story is all about how each group indulges in mudslinging and resorts to liquor and money distribution to emerge victorious.

Director V Manohar's attempt to churn out a rural political drama by casting newbie Sathish falls flat. Despite getting into the intricacies of electoral malpractices, which dominate most of the narrative, it fails to enthuse any interest. The treatment meted out to the age-old subject, which is very predictable and conventional, makes it a tedious watch that stretched close to two and a half hours.
