In an agriculture-driven village, the narrative unfolds under the oppressive rule of Kaale Gowda (Bala Rajwadi), a landlord who controls not only the land but also the lives of the farmers who depend on it. He confiscates property documents and refuses to return them even after debts are cleared, while claiming a major share of every harvest. His dominance extends beyond economic exploitation; he deliberately prevents the establishment of a school, ensuring that education remains inaccessible and that the villagers continue to rely on him out of fear and dependency.

Deva (MJ Jayaraaj), Gowda’s trusted aide, serves as the enforcer of this authority. Though he remains loyal to his employer, his family and friends hope he will reconsider his path and show greater empathy toward the villagers. Their expectations are met with indifference, and Deva continues to stand beside Gowda, distancing himself from their concerns.

The course of the story shifts when Moulya (Nischitha Shetty) enters the village and reopens the case of Rudhra (Arun Bacchan), Gowda’s son, who is accused of murdering his wife. Moulya places her faith in the legal system and challenges Gowda’s influence with the assistance of lawyers and Inspector Ranganath. As the legal proceedings gain momentum, the film exposes the lengths to which Gowda and his family will go to preserve their authority.

Parallel to the central conflict, multiple romantic threads run through the narrative. Deva shares a connection with his uncle’s daughter (Neethu Raai), interacts closely with Moulya, and forms a bond with Srishti (Surabhi Reddy), Gowda’s daughter, for whom he develops feelings. These relationships complicate his position and add layers to his internal conflict. The screenplay gradually reveals fragments of the past, hinting at deeper motives and concealed truths, as his character arc shifts from darker undertones to comparatively lighter shades.

The climax introduces elements rooted in the concepts of Lord Shiva and Daiva. In a decisive moment, the protagonist, despite being stabbed, appears to receive divine intervention that empowers him to confront the injustices inflicted on the villagers. This spiritual dimension adds a mythic layer to an otherwise familiar rural drama setup.

Throughout the film, the importance of education is conveyed as a subtle yet consistent undercurrent. The denial of schooling is portrayed as a calculated strategy to maintain control, reinforcing the idea that knowledge has the power to challenge systems built on fear and suppression.

Structurally, the film follows a traditional village drama format, combining themes of feudal dominance, community suffering, intertwined relationships, and moral ambiguity. The performances maintain narrative continuity, while the technical aspects remain serviceable. Overall, it presents a conventional rural narrative centered on power, resistance, and belief, making it a viewing option for those interested in village-based dramas.
