Crazy Loka

Story: A good show by Kavitha Lankesh who has selected a campus story with a difference, laced with comical sequences. In short, she has woven a ‘Crazy Loka’ with Crazy Star Ravichandran in the lead.

Movie Review: It’s a movie for Crazy Star fans. With a lively script, director Kavitha Lankesh has chosen a campus story with Ravichandran attending classes along with his son. While the first half has lively sequences, the second lags a bit in the middle. Avinash dons a college principal’s role who makes you laugh, but there is no sense in Bharathi Vishnuvardhan playing his mother as the age difference between them is less.

Basavaraja Kattimani (Ravichandran), an industrialist, gets a doctorate for his social work. But he is humiliated as he is not educated. Basavaraja decides to join his son Abhay’s (Surya) college, much to the embarrassment of the latter. They decide to hide their identities in college. Basavaraja, as an elderly student, attracts students by solving their problems and guiding them on the right path. He also falls in love with psychology lecturer Sarala (Daisy Bopanna). Chandini (Harshika Poonacha) is attracted to his son. In the end, he faces charges of giving fake marks card to gain entry into the college. How does he solve it? The movie is full of lively sequences.

Ravichandran marvels as Basavaraja. Daisy Bopanna is smart. Avinash excels as an innocent college principal with excellent body language and dialogue delivery. Camera by AC Mahender is good. Music by Manikant Kadri is okay.
