Bengaluru Inn begins as what appears to be a straightforward investigation but gradually unfolds into a layered crime thriller with social relevance. The story follows a police officer (Shashi Kumar), who is on a three-month personal leave but finds himself drawn into a suspicious death in a hotel room. Initially believed to be a suicide, the case soon reveals signs of murder, especially as a pattern of similar suicides begins emerging across the city.

As the investigation deepens, suspicion falls on the dead girl’s boyfriend Rahul (Kumar Kanhaiya Singh) and a food delivery boy named Ram (Dharma Keerthiraj). Ram’s arrest adds another dimension to the story when reporter Bhavya (Anusha Rai) steps in to secure his bail. Through her, the audience learns about her emotional connection with Ram, tracing their journey from childhood friendship to love and eventually to the complicated situation they find themselves in.

The second half shifts dramatically to a village backdrop, introducing a seemingly separate narrative involving Gowda (Bala Rajwadi), an influential village leader dealing with family rivalries and plans for his son Surya’s marriage to Divya (Risha Gowda). When Divya suddenly disappears, Surya uncovers disturbing truths that eventually connect back to the larger mystery. Though the shift in setting and characters feels sudden, the climax brings both storylines together.

The film mainly focuses on how the private moments of young couples are misused through blackmail, harassment, and hidden recordings. It presents two different forms of exploitation. In the case of wealthy people, they are blackmailed for money using their private videos. In the case of middle-class and lower-class individuals, their videos are uploaded and shared online for profit, leading to humiliation, harassment, and in many cases, suicide.

Bengaluru Inn also discusses honey traps and the risks that exist around relationships and privacy. The film tries to warn young people about being careful during private moments and trusting the wrong people. It also gives a message to parents, suggesting that they should stay aware of their children’s relationships and personal struggles without putting them under pressure out of fear or anxiety.

The screenplay is structured in a way that keeps the investigation moving in the first half. The second half changes direction suddenly and may feel disconnected at first because of the new storyline and characters. However, the climax attempts to bring all the threads together into one conclusion. The film also includes a few redundant sequences that affect the pacing and make certain portions feel prolonged. Some parts of the narrative come across as dated, which occasionally weakens the impact of the central theme. However, the mystery surrounding the case and the eventual convergence of the different storylines remain the primary focus until the end.
