Abhisaarike

Abhi and Sarika are lovers who hope they will have their happily ever after. But, Sarika also has a lunatic stalker in the form of Sunil, who hopes on getting his 'Bangaru'. How does Sunil affect their lives?

Horror films in 2018 are aplenty and Abhisaarike is the latest one to get added to the list. This film tries to bring a novel tale, which includes a triangular love story with a horror backdrop, but the execution seems rather amateur and the gags and frights straight out of the textbook that don't seem to impress.

The film is about Abhi and Sarika, two youngsters who have liked themselves since they were young. Sarika is seen sitting across the table of a psychiatrist, where she recounts her experiences. She shares her love story and also a story of how a lunatic stalker Sunil pursued her relentlessly to no avail. There is a horrific twist, which is supposed to add chills but only ends up being a damp squib.

Abhisaarike has an interesting premise of a triangular love story that involves shades of horror. The problem is that the horror doesn't seem to add the necessary scares and ends up being unwittingly funny at times. Watch this only if you must.
