Aa Drushya

This is the official Kannada remake of the Tamil surprise hit Dhruvangal Pathinaaru. Director Shiva Ganesh stays true to the original narrative with a few changes that have been made. The film, which is a little under two hours in length, is engaging and thrilling and ensures it keeps the viewers on the edge of their seats.

The film has a big cast that is frontlined by Ravichandran. He plays the suave, dynamic cop who is out there to nab the person behind this case. What works well for the story is that Ravichandran is perfectly cast for the role. While one is used to seeing Ravichandran as Sandalwood's original rasika, with women and romance being his forte, this role is the perfect follow-through to his act in Drishya and one only wishes he does more films like this.

Aa Drushya not only manages to entertain and engage those who have not seen the original, but it also proves to be a worthwhile watch for those who have seen Dhruvangal Pathinaaru too. This is where the makers of the film have succeeded. If remakes of good films from other industries are delivered like this, one can confidently ask for more.
