SEVENTEEN's Japanese single album 'Shohikigen' recently got an official double platinum certification. The album is said to have shipped more than 500,000 units in Japan. According to the RIAJ, an album is considered gold when it has 100,000 units, platinum at 250,000 units, and double platinum at 500,000 units.

Several other albums also achieved a milestone. 'GIANT' by Japanese Stray Kids, 'The Star Chapter: SANCTUARY' by TXT's Korean mini album, the repackaged album 'ROMANCE : UNTOLD -daydream' by ENHYPEN, and BTS's Jin's debut solo album 'Happy' all have received platinum certifications for shipping over 250,000 units each.

Furthermore, TWICE also has a sub-unit called MISAMO. That includes Mina, Sana, and Momo. The three won gold certification for their second Japanese mini-album 'HAUTE COUTURE'. They shipped over 100,000 units.

These accreditations show the global reach and increasing power of K-pop and J-pop artists in the Japanese music industry. It's not just that RIAJ has come to recognize the artists' names but also their ability to transcend cultural lines while connecting with the audience and communicating through music.
