PIXY disbanding? Agency announces bankruptcy, leaves fans uncertain about the group’s future

The fate of rookie girl group PIXY has been uncertain for quite some time and now the recent update about the agency's financials, has cast a shadow on the group's future.

The group had been inactive for more than a year, with no official statement made from the company. Now, after months of silence, fans have been informed of the devastating news that may point towards the group’s possible disbandment soon.

PIXY’s company issues a bankruptcy statement

On September 3, a video was uploaded to PIXY’s social channels. The video was titled ‘ReMake:3WAY (ep. PIXY)’, and consisted of clips of another group. The action left fans of the group confused, as their accounts had been inactive for almost a year and a half until the video was shared.

Soon after the situation went viral, an official statement was posted on their accounts after the video’s deletion. The statement read that the group’s management company has officially filed for bankruptcy, citing “neglect of duties” by the CEO. The statement also read that “Currently, Allart Entertainment is in a state where all business has been suspended due to the bankruptcy and neglect of duties by its CEO, and is in fact in a situation close to dissolution”.



Due to the bankruptcy, all activities from the company, including PIXY’s activities, stand suspended until further notice as per the notice. They also shared that all of the operations have been transferred to a third party, who is in no way affiliated with the previous company or the group.

They issued an apology as well, sharing, “Once again, we sincerely apologize to all fans and members who were hurt by this matter, and we will continue to wholeheartedly support PIXY so that they can carry out their activities in better conditions.”

The girl group debuted back in 2021 with their hit single ‘Wings’. While the group initially started with 6 members, a year later, two of the members ended up leaving. Ella and Satbyeol cited health-related issues as the reason behind their departure from the group. Soon after, a whole new member was also added to the group. Since then, one by one, members have left the group due to various reasons.

As of right now, only Dia, Sua, and Rinji are left as the official members of the group. This has prompted many fans to believe that the disbandment news is on the way.
