Even while serving in the army, J-Hope proved himself to be of extreme service to abandoned dogs as an advocate and supporter, warming the hearts of thousands. Recently, it came out that he has been underlying a stray dog center in Imkok, Busan, for three years and even donated pet food recently to celebrate Chuseok.

One of the volunteers who helped at the center wrote a blog that read - “We are always grateful to BTS’s J-Hope, who never forgets to send food for the dogs. Before Chuseok, J-Hope’s mother reached out to discuss donating food again, and we’re incredibly thankful for the consistent support. The shelter’s staff even said they feel wealthy every time the food arrives.” J-Hope's frequent donations have driven the conditions of the center higher, according to the volunteer.

Even though J-Hope was initially interested in keeping his charity work private, the stray dog center requested that his efforts become public. In February 2022, he understood the pathetic situation that persisted at the center and contributed funds to build 10 more kennels for dogs along with pet food and now supported the center regularly ever since.

Fans have always admired J-Hope for his charity work. Even the industry members have time and again shared tales that speak of J-Hope's kindness.
