BLACKPINK makes YouTube history with 100 million subscribers; Receives rare Red Diamond Award

Renowned South Korean girl hip-hop band ‘BLACKPINK’, which includes members Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa and Rose, has marked a big achievement as they have crossed the 100 million YouTube subscribers on their channel. This makes the K-pop artists officially crowned as the first Official Artist Channel to reach this level.

Group receives Red Diamond Creator Award

To celebrate this huge win, YouTube gave BLACKPINK a custom Red Diamond Creator Award. This award shows how strong the group is on the platform. YouTube shared a post with the words, “BLINKs, you did it! A massive congratulations to BLACKPINK for reaching 100 MILLION subscribers on YouTube!"

They also took to their official social media handle to share the news. Sharing the picture of the YouTube Play Button and they shared their excitement. On their Instagram post, the video streaming platform wrote, “We're so proud to see you make history!”

Videos that ruled the platform

BLACKPINK rules YouTube with many hit videos. Their channel has nine videos with more than one billion views. These include ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’, ‘Kill This Love’, ‘How You Like That’, ‘BOOMBAYAH’, and ‘Pink Venom’. Lisa’s solo song ‘LALISA’ and Jennie’s solo work also crossed one billion views.

After getting the award, YG Entertainment shared a photo on Instagram. The four girls held the Red Diamond Play Button and smiled. The post said, “Thank you, BLINKs!" Just days ago, BLACKPINK also shared the track list of their new album. The lead song is ‘JUMP’. The album also has ‘GO’, ‘Me and my’, ‘Champion’, and ‘Fxxxboy’.
