K-pop sensation aespa is gearing up to lend their voices to a thrilling new EP, inspired by the much-anticipated sequel to ‘Rebel Moon’. According to an exclusive scoop from Rolling Stone, aespa will be contributing to the EP titled ‘Songs of the Rebellion’, drawing inspiration from the characters of ‘Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver’, slated for release next month.

In an exciting revelation, it has been disclosed that each of the sequel's main characters will be bestowed with their own anthem on the EP. The talented Sofia Boutella's portrayal of Kora serves as the muse behind Jessie Reyez's rendition titled ‘Child of Fire’. Meanwhile, the enigmatic persona of Nemesis, portrayed by Bae Doona, has sparked creativity in aespa's upcoming track ‘Die Trying’, a collaborative effort with Korean-American producer Tokimonsta.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, Tokimonsta expressed, “Being able to collaborate with K-pop act aespa was incredible, especially as a Korean-American… Nemesis’s heroic strength, which arose from the depths of tragedy and darkness, fueled my creative process throughout the track”.

The EP is set to boast an eclectic lineup of tracks, with ‘Ode to Ancestors’ by Black Coffee, inspired by the character General Titus, and ‘Revolution’ by Kordhell, paying homage to the character Jimmy, rounding out the collection.

Furthermore, ‘Songs of the Rebellion’ is slated for release on April 5, followed by the upcoming premiere of ‘Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver’ on April 19.
