Cinema has always transcended boundaries but in India there was still a divide. But with the advent of OTT the line has blurred a lot and today no one raises an eyebrow when an actor from South of India, decides to try out projects in Hindi, one of the widest spoken languages in the country. Let’s take a look at actorsfrom south industry who’ve tried their hands at Pan-India OTT shows.

Vijay Sethupati

Vijay Sethupati has to be one of the most versatile actors of today’s generation. He ventured into the OTT space with Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK’s Farzi, which also marked the debut of Shahid Kapoor and the work on season 2 would start soon.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu


Samantha’s performance as Raji, a rebel officer from Sri Lanka was loved by one and all. With the success of this one, Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK got her onboard for the Indian adaptation of Citadel as well, where she is playing mother to Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s character.

Rana Daggubati starred in hit action-crime series Rana Naidu, where he portrays the titular role who makes a living by cleaning up the mess made by famous people.

Rashi Khanna is a sensation in south but even she wanted to enter the Hindi market, thus she made her debut with Ajay Devgn in Rudra- Edge of Darkness and followed it up with Farzi.

Tamannaah has some major fan following in the south but when it comes to Hindi films, she hasn't been as lucky. But she is having another go at the Hindi audience now with OTT projects, she will soon be in Jee Karda which is backed by Dinesh Vijan.

Priyamani is a force to reckon with down South but in North India she is known more for her dance number 1 2 3 4 Get On the Dance Floor with Shah Rukh Khan.She made her debut as Sucharita Iyer in The Family Man with Manoj Bajpyee and she will soon be seen in their season, wherein hopefully everyone will know what happened in Lonavala.
