The plot of the play revolved around wives and mothers of a kingdom who sent their husbands and sons for wars despite knowing the consequences. The women in the play opposed the war after observing the cons of the war. They play concluded with all the women successfully persuading the king to not send his soldiers on the battlefield and that the war should end.
"It’s a very good thing that such good plays are staged in the city, performed by artists from NSD Repertory Company," said theatre veteran, Dr Anil Rastogi. Theatre actor Shashank Awasthi, said, "I completely enjoyed the play. I wish more plays like these would be staged in the city."

’ play Lysistrata in which women were shown opposing the war. The thought of doing this play came several times in the director’s mind in the last 32 years, but it only remained an aspiration for him. The recent global scenario of multiple wars though did not affect him directly, this insensitivity saddened him greatly.The two-hour-long play was performed by actors of the
