A scene from the play

For starters, just like many Mumbai homes, the walls are paper-thin, allowing a constant earful of the neighbours' private lives. Compounded with the continuous BMC drilling, the howling of stray dogs, and the stink of uncleared garbage, with the endless racket of this unsleeping city, Bubbles goes steadily pissed off and paranoid. And just when you think things can't get any worse, they do. Bubbles' company goes through a rough time and he gets fired. And then, his apartment is burgled and the thieves not only take all his clothes, but his precious whisky as well. What happens next is what the play is all about and a story that every Mumbaikar will relate to.

A scene from the play

Despite being a comedy, the drama offers a satirical glimpse of how a city and its civic and civil issues can drive a sane man to the brink of a nervous breakdown. It deals with a middle-class couple's struggle to survive in Maximum City.
