Storytelling session, song rendition at the Khidkiyaan theatre festival in Mumbai

For theatre patrons, day two of the Khidkiyaan Theatre Festival proved to be a treat. Actor-lyricist Piyush Mishra opened the evening with a soulful performance, and actor-writer Manu Rishi followed it up with a narration of his story, Khidkiyaan, which had the audience in splits.
A modern take on William Shakespeare’s Othello and Vishal Bhardwaj’s Omkara, Sumeet Vyas’ Shadow Of Othello, directed by Ishteyak Arif Khan and produced by TC Chhabra, received a standing ovation.The first edition of Khidkiyaan, a non-ticketed fest that is being held in association with Bombay Times, powered by SRM University and organised by Mukesh Chhabra Casting Co., is on at Sathaye College. Mukesh, who’s excited about the way the fest has shaped up, played the perfect host. Spotted on the occasion were celebrities including Subhash Kapoor, Mugdha Godse, Kritika Kamra and Yashpal Sharma.
