Playtime for theatre lovers in Lucknow

Lucknowites recently witnessed a play based on miseries that women in our society face. Titled '

Sadanira

', the play was staged at

Bhartendu Natya Akademi

under the direction of

Raghuvendra Pratap Singh

Ramesh Chandra Gupta

, director of Bhartendu Natya Akademi of Dramatic Arts, along with

Surya Mohan Kulshreshtha

, theatre artist, graced the occasion as the chief guests.
The play based on the poem Narco Test written by Anshu Malaviya portrayed the sorrow of a women when she kills a roti and undergoes a narco test. The character of the lady was essayed by Beenu while Raghuvendra Pratap Singh essayed the role of the doctor.
