Play for a cause in Lucknow

A play titled 'Apne Hi Putle', staged recently at Sangeet Natak Akademi, threw light on some of the evil practices followed within the society. The play, written by Yogesh Tripathi under the direction of Somendra Singh, had the audience glued to their seats till the end. Politician Shivpal Singh Yadav, was the chief guest.
The play, which had Utkarsh Shukla, Varun Dikshit, Ayushi Srivastava and Hasnain in lead roles, touched upon topics like child marriage, dowry, incest, rape, among others.
