Bringing out human emotions on stage

On the evening of the International Theatre Day, Bhartendu Natya Akademi in Lucknow lent its stage to a play called 'Antardwandwa', directed by Privendra Singh.
The chief guests for the evening was bureaucrat Akhilesh Mishra, Special Secretary, UP, Govt, who lit the lamp to begin the evening on an auspicious note. The plot of the play revolved around a man named Pramod Verma who wanders in the quest to find happiness and fails every time.

The main protagonist of the play Pramod Verma was played by Manoj Sharma while his wife Saroj Verma was enacted by

Manisha Mehra

. Other characters included Bhole, Pawan Bhaiyya, Tiwari Ji, Charan Sahab which were played by Ashish Gupta, Sunil Dixit, Aditya Vishwakarma and Pawan Sharma, respectively.

The audience loved the play and its subtle nuances enacted effectively by Manoj of a disturbed man. The acting of Manisha was also hugely appreciated who brought out the confusion and fear of a woman whose husband is not happy.
