A play on the bond of animals staged in Lucknow
Lucknowites had a great time watching a play based on the relationship between animals and humans. The play titled 'Maans Ka Roodan' staged at Sangeet Natak Akademi, under the direction of Parth Saarthi Rai, was being staged for the second time in Lucknow. The play, written by famous Bhojpuri actor Manoj Singh Tiger, won him a standing ovation from the audience. “My first experience of performing in Lucknow was great. I was really nervous about how the play will be received but the audience was very supportive,” said Manoj.
The chief guest for the event was Dinesh Lal Yadav Nirahua, famous Bhojpuri actor and singer, who inaugurated the event by lighting up the lamp. “I am really happy for my friend Manoj. I always used to think that people from our industry will not get acceptance in other cities, but the kind of response and love Manoj and I have received here is just wonderful. I hope this play somewhere creates a mark on the mind of the people,” said Dinesh.
The play showed the relationship between a dog named Dona and a deer named Jenny and the bond they share which won the hearts of the audience.
The emotional tragic story line and dialogue delivery by Manoj Singh Tiger had everyone glued to their seats till the end.
