Actress
Natasha Mago, who was born in Mumbai and brought up in London, is elated that her first project, Ashvin Kumar’s directorial venture, No Fathers In
Kashmir, has garnered rave reviews from critics. She plays Zainab in the movie, a half-widow and mother to a teenaged British-Kashmiri girl, Noor.
The actress, who considers India her home, is looking forward to working on more projects in the country.
When asked what appealed to her about the film, the actress says that it was a story that had to be told. She feels that when a movie like this releases, it gives one a platform to talk about issues that are so relevant, like the issue of half widows.
Natasha started with theatre in London, before trying her hand at other mediums like TV and films. She says she started doing theatre as a hobby while studying in London. She adds that theatre helps you react and think on the spot, so the reactions are genuine. Theatre is an important base to have because when you perform there, you get to play a character from start to finish.
