Shahid Mallya has given us a number of filmy and non-filmy songs, and almost each one of them has garnered an equal amount of love and appreciation from. It’s quite hard for his fans to select one favorite from the lot. However, when we asked Shahid, which of his songs is closest to his heart, the songster in a jiffy replied, “My first song, ‘Rabba Main Toh Mar Gaya Oye’.”
“It would not be wrong to say that it is like my favorite kid, the closest to my heart. From this song, my journey began and though the struggle is there, it is what gave me the starting kick,” added the Shahid.
The songster even said that it was the premiere of ‘Rabba Main To Mar Gaya Oye’ when he for the first time felt that he has achieved a milestone. Recollecting the memories of the same, Shahid said, “I still remember that at the red carpet of the song, me, Pritam Da, Shahid Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Pankaj Kapoor sir, were holding hands, and the entire media was covering us. It was like a scene from a movie. The whole industry was present their when my song was showcased. Honestly, the premiere of
'Rabba Main Toh Mar Gaya Oye'
was a very emotional moment for me.”
“After that when I sang for Shahrukh Khan sir in ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’, that was a big moment for me”, concluded the singer.
At present, Shahid Mallya is busy crooning some Tamil tracks.
